Expert Witness Services

Lawyers acting in the courts are often faced with the need to obtain independent technical advice on a wide range of occupational hygiene issues, and they inevitably need to enlist the services of an expert witness.  We provide qualified and

experienced Occupational Hygienists, with scientific expertise to advise on

physical, chemical and biological parameters prevalent in the workplace or

environments that are liable to cause or exacerbate conditions leading to the

ill-health of workers. We can investigate recent and historical incidents with a

view to providing expert opinions in written reports, or as evidence.  We have

worked on behalf of Solicitors, Insurance companies and employers in investigating incidents that could lead to worker ill-health or chemical contamination

episodes (such as the disastrous effects following the mistreatment of

asbestos-containing materials) that have the potential to elevate risks to health.

We provide lawyers and barristers with expert advice and/or opinions

to enable them to offer technically sound guidance to their clients.

We can prepare preliminary reports for litigation purposes to assist the courts.

We provide expert witness evidence for civil litigation  representing the

claimants or the defendant

We will provide ‘single joint expert’ reports.

Examples of Investigations include:

Claims for noise induced hearing loss

Occupational induced asthma in food processing factories

Occupational dermatitis in industrial settings

Asbestos-related incidence, including gross contamination of sites

Assessment of legal compliance with Statutory legislation
